Small Engine Technician
We are once again looking to expand our Service Department. If you are looking for a career within a growing dealership, and would like to work on a variety of compact tractors, turf and handheld equipment, we want to hear from you!
Our new facility, completed in 2022, offers our technician a modern and comfortable shop to work in. As a growing business, we require motivated and knowledgeable technicians who can stay current on the latest diagnostic and repair techniques.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Service and repair of mainly 2 & 4-cycle power equipment, as well as compact diesel equipment
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting and estimating mechanical repairs
- Providing a detailed account of work performed and suggested work to assist service writer’s documentation
- Accurately accounting for time, materials, and parts used when completing work
- Performing service calls with personal tools (repairing/servicing equipment in the field)
- Performing repairs using a welder and/or acetylene torch
- Attending factory training and service schools
- Maintaining a professional attitude and clean work environment
- Performing duties in a safe and responsible way and in accordance to health & safety legislation
Requirements
- Experience performing service and repairs on garden tractors, lawn mowers, snow blowers, and handheld equipment
- Familiarity with 2 & 4-cycle engines, hydrostatic transmissions, drivelines, and 12V electrical
- Hydraulic systems understanding an asset
- General computer literacy
- Own tools
Compensation
- $22-30 per hour starting wage (depending on experience)
